How it works
Community Services of Virginia offers In-Home supports that are designed to enable families to maintain a family member in the family home, thereby preventing or delaying the need for out-of-home placement.
Residential In-Home Support
In-Home is for adults and children with various levels of mental retardation and/or other disabilities. This program offers:

Residential Group Home Support
We are committed to assuring that each individual is given choice through Advocacy for Equality planning. Based on preference, individuals are able to enjoy the life they choose. Each home has access to a vehicle, including wheelchair accessible vans.

Day Support Services
Intensive In-Home Services offer clinical care and counseling for children and families within their home (or community setting).
Intensive In-Home Services
As the name implies, this specific support is for extremely serious situations requiring concentrated help to achieve family stability. The Intensive In-Home team works extensively with the child and family for a distinct 90-day period; which can be extended if needed.
Once services are complete, the team assists the child and family with step-down services. Intensive In-Home Services accept referrals from, Department of Social Services, case managers, hospitals, and numerous other community organizations.
A clinical team specializing in child and family mental health provides the services.
